Missions

Jesus’ Great Commission urges his followers to “make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19). Family of Faith supports missions through prayer, finances, and personal involvement. Here are some outreaches we support:

John and Jean Anderson work with SonSet Solutions to help spread the gospel through technology. They provide tech support for missionaries in many countries who preach, plant churches, and help villages to have a clean water supply.

Christ Cares, led by Pastor Scott Reese, is an urban ministry based in Chicago Heights that includes evangelism, reconciliation, and especially support for homeless people. A team of people from Family of Faith prepares meals that Christ Cares offers at Bible studies for the homeless. Another team joins with Pastor Reese in leading worship and evangelism services at Pacific Garden Mission in downtown Chicago.

Christian Leaders Ministries provides free online ministry training to prepare church planters, pastors, and other leaders. Thousands of aspiring revival leaders in more than 160 countries are studying at Christian Leaders Institute and its sister school, Christian Leaders College. Family of Faith’s founding pastors, Henry Reyenga and David Feddes, helped launch Christian Leaders and continue to provide direction.

Crossroads Prison Ministries connects prisoners with mentors in Christ-centered correspondence relationships so that lives, prisons, and churches are restored through the Gospel. Several Family of Faith members serve as Crossroads mentors.

Joe and Allie Lemenager are working with a new church plant in Frankfurt, Germany. This church focuses especially on connecting with immigrants from Muslim countries.

Peacefire equips people to experience God’s transforming peace in the midst of conflict by relying on Jesus and following biblical guidelines. President Brian DeCook, a trained attorney an pastor, provides personal guidance, online instruction, and seminars in various countries.

Pregnancy Aid South Suburbs (PASS) Network for Life provides pregnancy and parenting services for people in suburbs south of Chicago who face difficult pregnancy situations. Some volunteers from Family of Faith are personally involved with PASS.

Anthony and Sara Sytsma serve with Resonate Global Mission in the African nation of Uganda. Anthony is educating and equipping pastors. Sara is assisting in agricultural development.

Unpublicized missions: Family of Faith supports missions in some countries where government is hostile or repressive to biblical Christianity. It is best not to identify those missions publicly on our website.
